Bookings

Thanks for reaching out. Regrettably, we have CLOSED OUR WAITING LIST to new clients for individual, 1:1 sessions. This has been effective from July 2020 and is ongoing as of June 2021 for the foreseeable future, due to unsustainably long waiting periods for new clients.

We are, however, pleased to be taking new referrals for a DBT group run by Dr Sarah Swannell. You can get details about the group and how to sign up for an assessment to see if it is suitable for you here or click on the image below.

DBT Skills Groups

Please be aware that our administrator does not work every day, so we may not be able to address your query straight away.

We do not provide emergency care, and it may take a little while for us to get back to you.

If you would to make an enquiry, please use our Contact Form.

We do not accommodate urgent referrals, and our waiting list for therapy is currently closed.

Please leave a contact number and your availability so that one of us can get back to you. We will try to get back to you within a few weeks.

Clinic hours

We have some evening appointments available in addition to appointments during business hours, however, these appointments are in high demand, and normally have much longer waiting lists than our business hours appointments.

Fees

The Australian Psychological Society recommends the following fees for 2020-2021: https://www.psychology.org.au/for-members/resource-finder/resources/Business-admin-legal/APS-National-Schedule-Recommended-Fees-and-items

Consistent with practice recommendations for trauma focused therapy, we prefer to offer 80 minute appointments, rather than the standard 50 minutes. We don’t want to rush your treatment.

Fees are as follows for each practitioner …

* Note that there is a minimal cost difference between a general and a clinical psychologist over the course of treatment. We therefore recommend choosing your therapist for the best fit, not the best bargain.

Please note that from 2021, none of our clinicians currently has the capacity to offer Bulk Billed or reduced rate services for the foreseeable future.

Please note we are not able to offer Bulkbilled services.

A very limited number of hardship rate arrangements may be available. These must meet specific criteria, be discussed and approved prior to appointment, and are subject to availability.

Hardship rates may be available to clients who are:

  • in genuine need of psychological support
  • suffering genuine and significant financial hardship (i.e. unemployed or pensioner status).

Hardship rates are a reduced fee arrangement applicable during the time of significant hardship. This means that there is still some (reduced) out of pocket expense for each appointment, even with a Medicare referral. It also means that when the hardship passes – normal fees will be reinstated.

If you wish to explore and apply for a reduced-fee arrangement please address the above criteria in writing and submit via our Contact Form.
